Lotus Pose (Padmasana) is very heavy on external rotation of the hips with a sprinkle of ankle and knee flexibility.
Other ways to help with the external rotation of your hips is sitting on the floor. As someone who was never flexible - I had no problems with this pose because I am a floor person lol. Growing up in South Korea - I realized v young that I love sitting, eating, drinking, sleeping, living on the floor. I am also on the floor as I type this description 🌝
The floor is hard and isn't the most comfortable for most ppl - so you'll end up fidgeting and moving around. Every time that happens - you're working on your hip mobility and most likely your external rotation if you're sitting cross legged.
Weird tip - but I promise it can be effective.

3/ knee flexibility
