gomukhasana - bruh can you pretzel?

When I first started yoga - I was able to surprisingly do pose even if I couldn't do most poses. The only explanation that I could think of was the fact I used to live in South Korea and still sit on the floor whenever I can so my external rotation for my hips isn't too bad. My classmates and I did this pose for fun and it was sort of a flex. I also used to do be able to go the kimchi squat, but that talent disappeared a looong time ago. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I never moved to the US (why did my parents fail me?! hahaha)


💡 Priorities:

1/ hip external rotation + adduction

2/ shoulder external rotation for the top and internal rotation for the bottom

3/ upper back


🌱 Poses / drills:

1/ half gomu / reclined gomu

2/ external rotation + adduction drills

3/ upper body locust variation

4/ use a strap for your arms!
