I'm not a psychic but it seems to be that the top hurdles of going to a vinyasa class are:
#1 showing up
#2 chaturanga
Chaturanga Dandasana (Four Limbed Staff Pose) or commonly known as chaturanga is casually referred to as a yogi pushup. Chaturangas happen between most sequences in a vinyasa class or sometimes multiple times depending on who your instructor is 💀
Doing many chaturangas can build your upper body and core like no other. But high reward can come with high risk. Make sure to always have your elbows at 90 degree angle and stacked on top of your wrist to prevent yoga elbow and injuries! And remember - the more chaturangas you do - the better your gunshow 💪
💡 Priorities:
1/ Upper body strength
2/ Core
3/ Proprioception (body awareness)
🌱 poses / drills to help you get into or deepen your warrior II: 1/ modify on your knees
2/ use a block to get that 90 degree angle
3/ negatives
