In many cultures - your hips are considered to be the "core" of your body because the health of your hips impacts basically the rest of your body mobility. For example - just to name a few - your hips are correlated with your back, core, shoulders, and leg mobility Although not completely foolproof, many yoga poses follow patterns which can help you better understand how the pose works and how the body works.
💡 Transformative tips:
1/ hip external rotation is usually paired with abduction + flexion. Ex. warrior 2
2/ hip internal rotation is usually paired with adduction + extension ex. wheel
3/ alignment is crucial to optimize the mobility of your spine. internal rotation + adduction helps you get into bigger backbends by creating space for your spine / hip bones to glide. it also helps you prevent injury because the more space your spine has, the more room for the backbend to be evenly distributed throughout the spine
